The water polo players of the University of Primorska achieved another game on the second day of the European University Water Polo Cup after defeating the Ss. Cyril and Methodius University. Their success was unfortunately completely overshadowed by the severe damage of Macedonian water polo player Nikola Tomovski, which made the game prematurely over.

An unfortunate event took place in the third quarter, when Macedonians failed to take the left-hand attack. At that time Tomovski stopped completely, and his cries suggested that this was a serious injury. The players of both teams quickly swam to him and helped him out of the pool, but then it became clear that there was a severe knee injury. The Macedonian player was taken with an ambulance and the race ended prematurely with the result of 12:3 for University of Primorska.

In the remaining matches, the University of Split beat the University of Belgrade with 14:2, and the match between the University of Lyon and the University of Budapest ended without a winner (6: 6).

The other goalkeeper "locked" his goal, and his teammates scored in the goal and scored 7:0 with 10:2. Macedonians broke the hike of the Primorska only in the last minute with the goal from Tomovski, and the result of the half-hour was put up by Potočnik.

In the third quarter, the Slovenian team scored 12 points, when Peter Brozović increased to 12:3 with his fourth goal, and then Tomovski was injured, which resulted in the game being interrupted for a long time, and eventually terminated too early.

"We are more of a quality than the Macedonians, which was eventually also known in the result. This time our first goalkeeper did not go at the start of the match, so I decided to change because of the rise of the amphibious. In such a competition, rotation of players is required, since we can not expect all players to be equally mood every day. Unfortunately, the race was prematurely finished due to the injury to Nikola Tomovski, which we want a quick recovery, " said the head of the home team Blaž Ćeklić.
